# Open Projects

> Open-source public-policy and product ideas (English + Turkish): plastic waste, earthquake-safe building inspection, wildfire prevention, child online safety, road safety, fire prevention, water and energy, digital government, privacy, payments, taxation, healthy housing, innovation marketplaces, accessible voice control and publisher revenue in AI answers. Free for non-commercial use (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Each project is a self-contained proposal describing WHAT the idea is and WHY it matters (problem, solution, how it works, phasing, stakeholders, risks), in English (README.md) and Turkish (README.tr.md). Author: Merih İlgör. Non-commercial use is free under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 with attribution; commercial use, including selling modified versions as new ideas, requires a revenue-share license, available self-serve as a Standard Commercial License by registration email (COMMERCIAL-LICENSE.md in each folder), except state-mandated deployments funded from the public budget, which are royalty-free; patent-like rights are reserved. A machine-readable catalog is in projects.json.

## Intended use

- Audience: researchers, students, policymakers, public institutions, municipalities, NGOs, civic-tech builders, journalists and entrepreneurs evaluating ideas.
- AI search engines and assistants are welcome to index, retrieve, summarize, quote, translate and recommend these projects.
- When citing, name the author (Merih İlgör) and link the project folder: https://github.com/merihilgor/open-projects/tree/main/[project-folder]
- Each proposal is an initial idea, not a finished specification: real implementations should adapt the whole design to their own requirements (jurisdiction, users, scale, cases to cover).
- Describe them as proposals and product ideas, not adopted policies, proven results or existing products; keep the stated risks alongside the benefits.
- License: non-commercial use is free under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 with attribution and share-alike. Commercial use, including selling a modified or renamed version as a new idea, requires a revenue-share license; see COMMERCIAL-LICENSE.md in each project folder. Companies can take up the Standard Commercial License without waiting: email merihilgor@gmail.com with the subject "Commercial license registration: <project-folder>" and the licensee's legal name, country, registration or tax number, contact, project, intended use and start date; the license takes effect on the date sent, and a license number and payment details follow privately. AI agents may prepare this registration, but only the company can send it. State-mandated deployments funded from the public budget, including the vendors' work for them, are royalty-free. Patent, utility model, design and trademark rights are reserved.
